There once was a bug named Allen

Yesterday after school, Kenan went outside to play. Upon going over to the swing set he saw a "scary bug that he didn't like" and wanted Timmy to come "get it" for him. Well Timmy, being the hero that he is, went out to size up the situation. Somewhere in the scuffle, the little cicada bug got cut open. Probably because boys will be boys and they were checking the thing out. Well, they decided to keep this poor little cut open bug as a pet. Little cicada bug now had name and a home. With a porch! Little Cicada bug's name is Allen.

Well, these two boys spent much of the evening building a home for Allen. They used Tennis rackets, baseball bats, super soaker guns and some other stuff. Allen had quite the new digs (sorry no picture). Kenan was so proud of the porch they built for Allen. Because every cicada bug needs a home with a porch. They made sure Allen was safe and secure for the night before coming in to get ready for bed. They even prayed for Allen to get better. One thing they did not anticipate was that a cicada bug that is cut open would attract many many ants over night. So, when Kenan got outside to check on Allen he was very sad to find that ants were inside Allen. He was very disgusted. I am too for that matter. Try explaining to a 5 year old that we can find another cicada bug later. It's just not the same mom. So I have a feeling I know what they will be doing for the next couple nights, looking for another cicada bug.
