Gotta Go Through

Gotta Go Through - Christine Dente' from her album Becoming

Why'd it have to come to this
Why'd I have to go through this
Wouldn't it be easier to just get up and run
Why do I have to give so much
Haven't I been through enough
Wouldn't it be better just to let it go
I don't wanna go through to get through this
No, I don't want to face what it takes to break
I tried to get around but it comes back to
Gotta go through, I gotta go through
Every day we take a chance
Learn a new step in the dance
Tripping together is better than falling apart
I guess I wasn't so smart
Didn't have a map of my own heart
I thought those old roads were just dead ends
Now I gotta go through to get through this
Though I don't want to face what it takes to break
I tried to get around but it comes back to
Gotta go through, I gotta go through
This unfamiliar terrain, no umbrella for the rain,
And we're reaching for each other again
We gotta go through to get through this
We gotta face what it takes to break
Theres no getting around 'cause it comes down to
Gotta go through, we gotta go through

I love this song!

I finally found it. Back in Janurary, Lisa Berry on KTIS challenged listeners to find a "new years resolution song". I could never find one until this song. This song challenges me to live for Christ. To really do it, and not halfway in all that I do. I need Him to get me through the day each day. It's called The Motions by Matthew West. This video is something I found on You tube. Enjoy!

A precious Moment

Yesterday, Kenan came up to me and started telling me about his day at school. He's been learning the story of Easter what Jesus did for us on the cross. A little bit later he came back and said "mommy, I prayed to Jesus today." me: "You did? What did you pray about?" K: "I said, Dear Jesus help me to be good and kind. Help me to follow you. Help me to be yours. Amen" me as I'm hugging him: "awwwww, Kenan!" K: "don't worry mommy, I'm still yours too." He went on to tell me that he prayed by himself at preschool while he was playing with Indiana Jones legos. He proudly told me that he played and prayed at the same time! Thank you God, for hold Kenan, and each of my kids in the palm of your hand. I know you'll never let go!
